How are you doing?

I'm still stuck in this corner of the world for four months now and haven't been out (for real) since then. Mental health is one of the aspects we have to pay attention to as part of taking care of our total physical well-being.

Here are some of the things I do to keep me sane.

Yoga-Meditation-Physical and Breathing Exercises

I do all these the first hour I wake up in the morning before I start my day. So there are no excuses😊. The benefits of doing all these include reduce stress and relieves anxiety. It promotes calmness and self-awareness. It gives you a good mood and energy for the rest of the day. It also promotes flexibility and balance, improves muscle strength, and reduces the risk of other diseases. For added excitement, I do it with the beat of the music.

Reading and Writing

I prefer to read books and other interesting topics than following up with the news of the pandemic and the chaos around the world. I already got the information on the transmission of the virus and the safety measures to avoid it. So it won’t help me if I always check the statistics of those who got infected all over the world every day.

I also write a journal. It keeps my thoughts organized and boost my memory.

Expand Knowledge

I always believe that Education has no limit and it is a continuous journey. Learning something new is fun, exciting, and challenging. And during this time that I am at home, I take this opportunity to equip myself with new skills and knowledge. I enrolled Freelancing Course and I am enjoying the ride. This makes me productive in my free time and also adds up to my credentials.

Family and Friends

It’s a perfect time to connect, spend time, and/or get in touch with the family and friends face-to-face or virtually. The Internet plays a major role in the so-called “new normal.” Use it wisely and communicate with those whom you feel like talking to.

The Power of Prayer

My faith is what keeps me hopeful and maintains a positive outlook on Life. Everyone has different views on this and I have my respect. For me, this is the time I strengthen my faith and my relationship with the Lord.

Happiness is a Choice

What about you? How do you take care of your emotional well-being during this time of pandemic?
